The Skinny: January 2020 cover

For the first issue of the new decade, The Skinny commissioned me to create a cover illustration that celebrates some of the most iconic trends of the last 10 years, from plant milk to twitter wars. Big decade energy indeed.

Here are some of the rough sketches plus the first composition draft.

After changing a few things around, I started throwing on some colour. Deciding on a background is always the hardest bit.
